Purpose of the Service

Transferable Skills Analysis is just one element of vocational evaluation that aims to identify transferable skills and identify alternative employment options

What is a Transferable Skills Analysis?

This is a systematic process of identifying an individual's work abilities or
traits through a detailed analysis of
their vocational history, education and medical information. It identifies appropriate employment options for the
claimant based upon their vocational capacity and local labour market.

A comprehensive report is provided identifying occupations that may be explored as possible employment for the individual based on their previous skills and experience. It includes recommendations for any training or assistance required to support the claimant back into employment.

Who is this suitable for?

This type of assessment is generally used when an individual's work capacity is known and where they are unable to return to former employment. It is valuable in identifying suitable alternative employment and helping claimants make good use of prior work and training experiences. It may assist the claims assessor when assessing a claimant
on a suited occupation definition of incapacity.
